Turning Failure into Success: The Journey of Akbar Fadhillah Hermawan
The phenomenon of digital start-ups has grown rapidly over the past five years, but not all start-ups succeed, and some even face bankruptcy. One such individual is a talent from Sanberhub named Akbar Fadhillah Hermawan. Despite his failure in building a start-up, Akbar found new opportunities elsewhere.
From Start-up Setback to New Beginnings
For two years, Akbar dedicated himself to building a start-up. Unfortunately, the venture did not succeed, forcing him to start over from scratch. Despite this significant setback, Akbar refused to give up. He spent over a year searching for opportunities in the tech industry, sending out numerous job applications. However, only a few moved forward in the process, and none resulted in a job offer.
A New Chapter as a Tech Writer
Amidst his job search, Akbar came across a job opening posted by Sanberhub on Instagram—a platform dedicated to skill development. Seizing the moment, he applied without hesitation. Recognizing Akbar’s valuable experience, Sanberhub quickly processed his application, leading to an interview. The interview was successful, and within an hour, Akbar received the news—he was accepted by one of Sanberhub’s clients.
Gaining Experience and Overcoming Challenges
As a headhunting platform, Sanberhub continued to monitor their candidates. They kept an eye on Akbar for three months and received positive feedback. In less than seven months, Akbar was trusted to be involved in various projects, from website development to creating dashboards for clients’ products set to launch.
Akbar gained a lot of experience and new challenges from our clients. His journey to becoming a Tech Writer was not easy and involved many processes, but he remained consistent and eventually became a trusted Tech Writer.
Inspiration from Akbar’s Journey
Akbar’s story is a powerful reminder that failure is not the end. When one door closes, others may open, offering new paths to success. With determination and hard work, anyone can achieve their dreams, even in unexpected ways. Akbar also hopes that Sanberhub continues to serve as a bridge and platform for IT talents in Indonesia, helping them grow and contribute to the nation’s technological advancement.
